19:00 Evening “Get-together” Event with food and drinks.
DAY 1, MON 13 DECEMBER and DAY 2, TUES 14 DECEMBER
Free evening: College dinner or Pub Visit
For the first 2 evenings we would like to offer our attendees an opportunity to explore Cambridge pubs. Cambridge pub culture is rich and closely connected to the University.
As an example, the discovery of DNA structure was announced at the “Eagle” pub and the “Baron of beef” was frequently visited by Chris Curry and Clive Sinclair and has been featured in a film “Micro Men”. Douglas Adams, the author of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” also like to visit this pub.
We attached an interactive ‘Cambridge Pubs’ map that should help you to make your choice. It is advisable to book a table first that could be done over the phone, but one can also drop by and take any available table. There is also a google map of pubs.
